Start-Up Company Procedures

Initial Meeting:

  • Introductions

  • Summary of business, operations, goals, and owner’s background and experience

  • Set up date/time of site visit

*Site Visit and Fact-Finding:

  • Visit physical location(s) of the business and its operations

  • Gather detailed information on operations, other relevant details, and estimated sales and payroll

Review and Present Findings:

  • Present plan for coverages needed

  • Convey strategies to get quotes and policies in

Training:

  • Train staff on how to manage claims, premium payments, insurance audits and changes needed in the day-to-day operations.

  • If applicable, safety suggestions and materials will be provided to staff to help prevent injuries and liability claims. Back-to-work solutions will be discussed for workers’ compensation claims.

Planning for the Future:

  • Plans for updating/maintaining properties in the future, such as the roof, heating, or plumbing will be in place, as necessary.

  • Plans for maintenance of equipment and vehicles will be addressed, if needed.

  • Record-keeping for updates/maintenance and repairs will be stored by KW Insurance Guidance & Strategy.

*Starting at this step we will charge $125/hour.
